Jingyuan Hong and Jordi Alastruey volunteered at the School’s exhibit Hospital of the Future (Soft Colonoscopy stand), New Scientist Live, London, October 2022.

The group attended the ARTERY22 conference in October 2022. Jingyuan Hong presented on arterial stiffness assessment by pulse arrival time, and Samuel Vennin presented in the young investigator session on public engagement.

Jordi Alastruey gave an online seminar at the Ted Rogers Centre for Heart Research in October 2022 on The role of synthetic pulse wave data in the development of technologies to assess cardiovascular function. A recording of this seminar is available here.

Jordi Alastruey delivered 2 hours of lectures on An Introduction to Arterial Blood Flow in The Cardiovascular System at Harbin Institute of Technology, China, in October 2022, as part of the China Ministry of Education's "111 plan" to share global academic research with Chinese students.

Francesco Piccioli and Jordi Alastruey participated in the 9th World Congress of Biomechanics (WCB) in Taipei, Taiwan, in July 2022. Francesco gave the oral presentations "On the relative role of cardiac and vascular properties in raising pulse pressure," and Jordi was an invited speaker to the session Clinical Application for Biomechanics in Cardiopulmonary System. He gave the talk titled The relevant role of in silico pulse wave databases in machine learning-based pulse wave analysis. A recording of this seminar is available here. He also co-organised and moderated sessions at the congress.

Jordi Alastruey co-authored an editorial with Jonathan Mynard for the special issue Reduced order modelling for cardiovascular problems published in the Int. J. Numer. Meth. Biomed. Eng. in July 2022.

Weiwei Jin, Francesco Piccioli, and Jordi Alastruey participated in the 7th International Conference on Computational and Mathematical Biomedical Engineering in Milan, Italy, in June 2022. Weiwei and Francesco gave oral presentations titled, respectively, "Pulse wave velocity estimation from the radial pressure wave using recurrent neural networks" and "On the assessment of cardiac properties from pulse waves - A computational study". Jordi co-organised a mini-symposium on cardiac function and coronary flow.

Peter Charlton and Jordi Alastruey contributed to the annual VascAgeNet working group meeting in Thessaloniki, Greece, in May 2022.

Jordi Alastruey gave 4 hours of lectures on Modelling Arterial Blood Flow in the Cardiovascular System at Northeastern University, China, in April 2022, as part of the "boundless classroom" programme. Jordi was invited again as an international expert on the topic, after his initial classes in December 2020.

Jordi Alastruey became a PhD Subject Area Board Member (SAB) for the School of Biomedical Engineering & Imaging Sciences, King’s College London, in February 2022. He is co-responsible for approving nominations of PGR degree (MPhil, PhD, MD(Res)) examiners to ensure nominations are fair and consistent with guidelines and regulations.

Jordi Alastruey gave an online seminar at the Insigneo Institute in January 2022 on In silico pulse wave databases for haemodynamics studies.

Jordi Alastruey was an invited speaker to the webinar Simulating photoplethysmography signals in January 2022, part of the Developments in Photoplethysmography webinar series hosted by the Institute of Physics and Engineering in Medicine (IPEM). His presentation was titled In silico PPG datasets for haemodynamic studies.
