The group participated in the 9th International Conference on Computational and Mathematical Biomedical Engineering in Kobe, Japan, in June 2026. Mia Wan and Adam Geale gave presentations on peripheral vascular disease. Jordi Alastruey co-organised a mini-symposium on reduced-order and machine learning assisted modelling of arterial stenosis.

In March 2026, Jordi Alastruey became Executive Editor for the journal Biomedical Signal Processing and Control.

Congratulations to Hayat Mahmoudi on successfully defending her PhD research during her viva on 3rd March 2026. Her thesis is titled Machine Learning-Based Detection of Fetal Growth Restriction Using Ultrasound-Derived Aortic Diameter and Vascular Assessment.
