We study clinically relevant problems using pulse wave modelling and analysis. We usually employ a complementary mix of in silico and in vivo data: in silico simulations allow us to test theoretical predictions in the absence of experimental errors and with precise knowledge of all relevant cardiovascular quantities and their influence on the pulse wave, while in vivo data further strengthens in silico observations without resorting to modelling hypotheses.
